Program
Body.Mind Ljubljana is a martial arts and holistic development center where we combine traditional Kung Fu, Qi Gong and meditation. Our approach is based on connecting body, mind and breath - with the aim of developing strength, flexibility, inner balance and greater presence in everyday life.
*Gong Fu 功夫 in its original meaning refers to any skill acquired through dedication and persistent practice.
For people who:
In training we develop:
"The body benefits from movement,
and the mind benefits from stillness."
"Nature does not hurry,
yet everything is accomplished."
"Mastery of others is strength.
Mastery of yourself is true power."
"The soft overcomes the hard.
The gentle overcomes the rigid."
"A journey of a thousand miles
begins beneath one's feet."
"To the mind that is still,
the whole universe surrenders."
"It does not matter how slowly you go,
so long as you do not stop."
"Peace comes from within.
Do not seek it without."
"Sit quietly, doing nothing; spring comes,
and the grass grows by itself."
"Flowing water never grows stale;
a door hinge never gathers rust."

„This is the great place to discover limits of body and mind. Really fast I felt and saw the progress on all the levels. Since the first time I came I felt welcomed, it was an open, safe space to enter and join the group. Teachers are experienced in teaching, they lead in the same time the group and individuals to help them progress. Since I am a dancer with quite some injuries I tried different types of training. This one is healing my body and building stamina at the same time. The movements are organic, so it suits to people who never really trained and to those who did. Perfect place to start moving.“

„Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Professional teachers, with just the right amount of rigor, kindness, approachability, wisdom, humor and a wide range of knowledge. The training is suitable both for beginners who can progress quickly with a little persistence and will, as well as for those who would like to upgrade their knowledge. A very good exercise for pushing movement and mental limits. Active meditation for body and mind. I recommend it to anyone who wants it, but I warn you that it is addictive.“

„My partner and I have been having regular private training sessions at Body.Mind for one year now, and the experience has been excellent. Andrej is a very knowledgeable and helpful trainer, and he is really good with beginners like us, keeping the difficulty levels just right and making the sessions challenging but also very enjoyable and interesting. We really look forward to training with him and we always leave the sessions feeling energised for the week ahead. Highly recommended!“
Alex Jordan
„My son has been going to Andrej's kung fu classes for a second year now. He really enjoys the training. He likes the forms best, and also the time they set aside for play towards the end of the sessions. Recently they even went to the cinema together. Andrej is a truly excellent teacher who knows how to engage a child in a relaxed way. And there is no better feeling than picking him up and finding him happy every single time, even after a demanding day.“

The schedule of trainings is also good, offering both early morning sessions and afternoon sessions. I recommend anyone who wants to learn martial arts and also work on their personal and spiritual development to come visit.“

„Andrej is an excellent coach with vast knowledge. His hands-on approach was something very important to me, because I had multiple injuries. He took me in and provided sessions based on my capabilities and knowledge. I would recommend him for beginners, seasoned practitioners and also people recovering even from serious injuries.“

Traditional Kung Fu teaches the body precision and the mind patience. It is not about speed or raw strength - it is about control, where every step has a reason and a place.
Everyone starts from their own baseline. We measure ourselves against last week, not against each other. The teacher corrects as you go, individually, even in a group.

Qi Gong is meditation in motion. Slow, soft sequences where the breath leads the movement and the movement quiets the mind. What looks simple from outside asks for your full attention.
Nothing is forced - movement goes to the edge of comfort and no further. Because the practice is soft, it also suits people with injuries or in recovery, always in agreement with the teacher.

Chan is the oldest form of what we now call zen. It is not a relaxation technique but a training in attention: to sit, to breathe and to watch what happens, without rushing to change it.
Meditation is part of the practice here, not an add-on. We start with short sittings and lengthen them only once sitting becomes comfortable. No mysticism - just regular, simple practice.

I have practised Kung Fu since 2010, thirteen of those years under Master Shifu Shi Heng Dao at the Shaolin Temple Slovenia. I founded Body.Mind Ljubljana, where I teach martial arts as a path to a more conscious life.
I began my Kung Fu path in 2010, and practice has been the foundation of my life ever since. For thirteen years I studied under Master Shifu Shi Heng Dao (Milan Kapetan), founder of the Shaolin Temple Slovenia, where I gained a deep grounding in traditional martial arts, discipline, qi gong and inner development.
After years of intensive study and teaching I founded Body.Mind Ljubljana – a place where ancient knowledge meets modern life. I created the school to offer people more than a workout.
At Body.Mind Ljubljana I work with adults, children and people from very different walks of life. Among my students are those who want to improve their fitness, build confidence, manage stress, recover from burnout, or simply find a deeper contact with themselves.
My mission is to preserve and pass on the knowledge of martial arts in a way that helps people live more consciously, courageously and fully. I do not teach technique alone. I teach principles that carry a person through training and through everyday life - in the family, in relationships and at work.
A strong person is not the one who defeats others. A strong person is the one who knows themselves, governs their own thoughts, stands by their values, and can act calmly even when life is demanding.
I am grateful to every teacher, every student and every experience that has shaped my path. I remain committed to learning, to exploring and to teaching, and I look forward to everything we will build together in the years ahead.

Kung Fu & Qi Gong teacher
Karate from the age of thirteen and a 1st dan black belt, then twelve years of traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. He has taught for ten years and trained in China in 2025 under Master Hu Zhengsheng.
Urban Logar began his martial arts path at the age of thirteen, when he took up karate. Through years of regular practice he earned a 1st dan black belt under Master Takashi Tokuhishi. Karate gave him his first grounding in discipline, perseverance, physical conditioning and an understanding of martial arts.
Asian culture had been close to him since childhood. He was drawn to its philosophy, its way of life and above all to the idea of a skill that can only be gained through hard work, perseverance and devotion. He first met Kung Fu and the world of Shaolin through films, which awoke his interest in and respect for this traditional martial art and for the Shaolin monks. Their discipline, their devotion and the way they connect body, mind and spirit inspired him in particular.
For all his years of karate, the wish to practise Kung Fu - and traditional Shaolin Kung Fu above all - never left him.
His Shaolin path began at the Shaolin Temple Slovenia under Master Milan Kapetan (Shi Heng Dao), founder of the Shaolin Temple Slovenia and a student of Master Shi Yan Zi. Twelve years of regular practice gave him a solid grounding in traditional Shaolin Kung Fu. After three years he also began to teach, and he has now been passing on his knowledge and experience for ten years.
In his teaching he places great weight on the student learning more than single techniques: through practice they develop a better understanding of the body, of movement, breathing and concentration, along with discipline and the other qualities the art brings.
The year 2025 was an important milestone on his path, when he trained in China at the school of Master Hu Zhengsheng - the Shaolin Traditional Wushu Institute. Training there first-hand let him look at everything he knew from another perspective, meet a different way of training and come still closer to the tradition that had inspired him for years.
In China he also made contacts for further exchange of knowledge and for the development of his own practice. He keeps adding to that knowledge at Kung Fu workshops with Master Wang (Shi Xing Long).
Urban Logar believes that Kung Fu is above all a path of constant learning. A teacher is not someone who has finished their path, but someone who keeps learning, keeps exploring and passes their experience on.
Through the way he teaches he wants to bring traditional Kung Fu to his students in a clear and practical way - as a practice for understanding yourself better and for living a fuller life.
