For many people a first visit goes wrong outside the door. This piece is here so that it does not.
Address and entrance
Ziherlova cesta 44, 1000 Ljubljana. Trnovo, on the south-western side of the city.
Lower hall, entrance on the right. That is the important part. The main entrance to the building is not the one you want - ours is on the right-hand side and leads to the lower floor.
If it feels like the wrong place, you are probably in the right one. If you cannot find it, call.

Getting here
On foot: about twenty minutes from the centre. Ten from Trnovo church.
By bike: the fastest option. You can leave a bike in front of the building.
By bus: city lines running along Ziherlova and Cesta na Loko; the stop is a few minutes’ walk away.
By car: parking in front of the building. There is plenty of room in the evening; between 17:00 and 17:30 it can be tighter - come five minutes earlier.
What the hall is like
A wooden floor. We train barefoot or in thin shoes. The floor is clean and warm.
Size. Enough for a group of up to twelve with room for stances and transitions.
Changing area. Simple, separate, with space for bags. There is no shower - most people shower at home.
Entrance area. This is where you take your shoes off. Footwear stays at the door.

When to arrive
Ten minutes early is enough. Long enough to change without rushing, say it is your first time, and ask whatever you want to ask.
If you are late, wait at the edge of the hall; the teacher will wave you in at a suitable moment. Being late is not a problem; an interrupted drill is.

What is nearby
Trnovo is a quiet neighbourhood ten minutes from the centre. Špica, the Trnovo embankment and the climb towards Rožnik are all close - in summer we run some sessions outdoors, on the meadow in front of the building or in a nearby park.
If you come by car and have time, a walk along the Gradaščica before class is worth it. A fair number of our students do it regularly.
